We are currently seeking one motivated self-financed Visiting Research Scholar to join Photoacoustic Imaging-Lab. The visiting scholar will be engaged with one or more aspects of Photoacoustic Tomography (PAT) technology innovations at PI-Lab, including efficient light illumination, high-sensitivity ultrasonic detection, super-resolution PAT, high-speed imaging acquisition, novel PA genetic contrast, and precise image reconstruction. On top of the technological advancements, the visiting scholar is also expected to engage the broad life science and medical communities with matching PAT systems for research and clinical needs, especially for studying tumor angiogenesis, cancer hypoxia, and brain disorders. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of our research in imaging and its biomedical applications, we will look for applicants with backgrounds in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
