Boston University's Core Curriculum in the College of Arts and Sciences is now accepting applications for a full-time Lectureship in Core Humanities, to start in Fall 2019. The Lecturer will be responsible for three sections of 15-18 students each in the Fall and Spring semesters. Core Humanities is writing intensive and emphasizes close reading of philosophical, literary, and religious texts from antiquity through the twentieth century. Initial appointment is for one year, with possible renewals for two and three-year periods following.

Lecturers must have Ph.D. and strong teaching skills and knowledge of relevant texts. Ability to teach classic texts in the social sciences is a plus. The successful applicant will participate in an integrated program of interdisciplinary study that extends across the humanities, social and natural sciences.
