Instructor/Assistant Professor, Term Appointment, of Music


The Department of Music at Benedictine University, a Catholic liberal arts institution near Chicago, seeks candidates for a one-year term appointment as Instructor or Assistant Professor of Music beginning Fall 2019. Responsibilities include: teach undergraduate Concert Choir; Vocal Methods; Applied Voice; Aural Skills; and/or other courses according to expertise. Candidates must have a doctorate or be ABD in Choral Conducting by Fall 2019. (A doctorate is necessary for appointment as Assistant Professor.) Three years of undergraduate level choral conducting and advanced piano performance skills required. We seek candidates with the demonstrated potential to contribute effectively to a faculty team dedicated to creating a positive, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population.
