The You Lab at Duke seeks candidates for an Associate in Research. The candidates should have primary training in experimental biology, engineering, or quantitative sciences, as well as a strong interest in quantitative-biology research. The candidates should have a bachelor's degree in one of these fields at the time of application.
Our research integrates mathematical modeling, machine learning, and quantitative experiments to understand and control the dynamics of microbial communities in time and space. Ongoing projects address questions on bacterial responses to antibiotics, the implications of horizontal gene transfer in community dynamics and evolution, and programming of self-organized pattern formation in engineered bacteria.
Potential applicants should submit their updated CVs and arrange 2-3 reference letters to be sent directly to Lingchong You (lingchong.you@duke.edu).
