The McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member who conducts research on ethics and public policy and who can teach graduate-level courses in this area. Candidates with a Ph.D. in a social science discipline, public policy, public administration, philosophy, or law will be considered. The McCourt School has a special interest in ethical issues arising from big data, whether compiled by the government or by large corporations. Other possibilities include the ethics of public administration, bio-ethics, artificial intelligence, and other emergent issues in ethics and public policy.

The McCourt School is primarily targeting junior faculty members (freshly minted Ph.D.s, assistant professors with one or two years on their tenure clock), but advanced assistant professors and recently tenured associate professors may apply.

The Georgetown Public Policy Institute, which originated in the mid 1980s, became the McCourt School of Public Policy in 2013. The McCourt School is growing rapidly and offers a number of graduate degrees, including a Masters of Public Policy, Masters in Policy Management, Master of International Policy & Development, and Masters of Science in Data Science for Public Policy degree. It also offers executive education programs.
