The Goldberg lab in the department of Evolutionary Anthropology is recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to join in 2019. The candidate will develop and apply quantitative methods to study zoonotic disease spread. The associate is expected to prepare related manuscripts for publications and present results at annual conferences.

The postdoctoral scholar may work on a range of projects in population biology and disease ecology. Primary project includes mathematical modeling of the spread of zoonotic malaria in Brazil. Other proposed research within the scope of lab interests is welcome.

The Goldberg lab combines theory and computational data analysis; interest in biological applications of programming, statistics, and/or mathematics is required. Candidates must have a PhD in biological anthropology, evolutionary biology, statistics, mathematics, or a related area by the time they start. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present scientific research in the form of peer-reviewed publications preferred. Initial appointment is for 1 year, with planned annual renewal.
