The Relativistic Astrophysics and Cosmology (RAC) group at Rice University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy expects to hire a postdoctoral research associate starting in August 2020. Researchers with interests in theoretical particle physics, cosmology, and particle-astrophysics are encouraged to apply.

The RAC group’s interests and expertise include physics of the Higgs boson, baryogenesis/leptogenesis, cosmological phase transitions, primordial magnetic field, dark matter, inflation & reheating, neutrinos, high-energy astrophysics, compact astrophysics objects, and gravitational waves. The candidate is invited to collaborate with the group as well as engage in independent research. The Physics and Astronomy Department also hosts experimental collaborations involved in dark matter direct detection, high-energy collider physics, and heavy ion physics.
