Position Description:    

The condensed matter theory group at the University of New Hampshire has a postdoc position opening effective immediately. The group led by Prof. Jiadong Zang conducts leading theoretical research on chiral magnets and magnetic skyrmions. The successful candidate is expected to conduct first-principles calculations on magnetic material discovery or theoretical modeling of transport phenomena in quantum materials. Prior experience on density functional theory, high performance numerical calculations, transport theory, oxides, or topological matters will be highly valued. We will also carry out extensive collaborative works with experimental groups worldwide, so a broad scope of condensed matter physics is appreciated. 

Initial appointment of this position is for 2 years, but can be extended based upon satisfactory performance. Starting date can be anytime from now to Aug 2020. Evaluation starts at Nov 18 until the position is filled.
