One postdoc fellow position to study neurophysiology and neurological disorders is available at Duke University School of Medicine. Neuroscientists, electrophysiologists and ion channel biologists with high motivation, creativity and independence are welcomed to apply Dr. Huanghe Yang’s research team in the Departments of Biochemistry and Neurobiology at Duke Medicine.

The Yang lab isworking on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms of human ion channel mutations or channelopathies using mouse models. A combination of electrophysiology, cell biology, mouse models, behavioral tests, biophysical, biochemical and state-of-art imaging techniques is employed in the lab. Successful candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with expertise relevant to the research areas. Motivated and independent individuals with a demonstrated track record in brain slice recording, mouse behavioral characterization and in vivo imaging are preferred, but strong research experience in ion channel biophysics and patch clamping will also be considered.
