The Chaney Lab at Duke University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering under Dr. Nathaniel Chaney (http://www.chaneylab.earth//) is seeking an Associate in Research.

We are seeking an environmental scientist to continue the develop the next generation of the POLARIS soil database. The job duties will include downloading and processing satellite remote sensing data, interpreting legacy soil survey maps, and developing and running a recently developed watershed-based digital soil mapping algorithm. The job will be full-time (~40 hours/week) during June - August 2020.

Required qualifications: Masters degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related fields. Experience in Python and Machine Learning are a must. Applications will be reviewed as they are received until a candidate is selected.
