Position Description: |
As part of its Flagship "Gluodynamics" project, the Excellence Laboratory P2IO (Physique des 2 Infinis et des Origines) is opening several two-year postdoctoral positions in nuclear theory, that will be hosted by the Centre de Physique Théorique of Ecole Polytechnique, the Institut de Physique Théorique of CEA/Saclay, and the Theoretical Physics pole of the Laboratoire Irène Joliot-Curie. The Gluodynamics project investigates the role of gluons as a source of geometry of protons and nuclei, and of forces inside hot strongly interacting QCD matter. We welcome candidates who will be holding a PhD by the starting date (tentatively October 1st 2021), and have acquired expertise in one or more of the following research areas: hadron structure, relativistic heavy-ion physics, high-energy QCD. Faculty members involved in the project include: Cédric Lorcé, Cyrille Marquet, Stéphane Munier, Bernard Pire (Ecole Polytechnique); Jean-Paul Blaizot, François Gelis, Edmond Iancu, Cédric Mezrag, Hervé Moutarde, Jean-Yves Ollitrault, Grégory Soyez (CEA Saclay); Jean-Philippe Lansberg, Samuel Wallon (Irene Joliot-Curie Lab).
