Position Description: |
The Kelliher lab at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, USA has postdoctoral training positions available in the laboratory focused on NOTCH1-mediated leukemogenesis. We applied single cell and bulk RNA-seq to our mouse models of T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) to uncover the clonal heterogeneity that underlies leukemic progression and therapeutic resistance and relapse. These studies revealed a dormant DN3 thymic progenitor population with a gene expression signature that was shared with ALL patients experiencing minimal residual disease. A postdoctoral position is available to identify critical L-IC genes that mediate therapeutic resistance and relapse. Experience in hematopoiesis research preferred but not required.
The Kelliher lab also has had a long-standing interest in TNF signaling with a focus on the death domain kinase RIPK1. A postdoctoral fellow position is available to study contributions of RIPK- mediated cell death and/or proinflammatory signaling to human diseases including bone marrow failure, autoimmune hepatitis, and neurodegenerative diseases. Experience in innate or adaptive immunology preferred. For additional information and publications, please view the lab website at https://www.umassmed.edu/kelliherlab/ As an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, UMass Chan recognizes the added value of a diverse community and encourages applications from individuals with varied experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds. |
