Chapman University’s graduate
program in Marriage and Family Therapy seeks applications for a non-tenure
track Clinical Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2021. The MFT program is
fully accredited by COAMFTE.

Qualifications
|
Applicants must have an
earned doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Development, Family
Studies, or closely related field from a COAMFTE accredited program; prior
university teaching experience; be actively involved in direct clinical
service treating individuals, couples, children/adolescents and families,
demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity issues and have prior experience
in leadership. Candidates must have a current California MFT license or be
license eligible as an MFT. Applicants must also have obtained an AAMFT
Approved Supervisor Designation or be an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate
working towards achieving this designation. Salary will be commensurate with
experience.

Responsibilities
|
The faculty member will teach
graduate courses in the COAMFTE accredited MFT program that prepares students
for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. The faculty member will
also assist the university and graduate program by contributing to program
re-accreditation, coordinating and supervising clinical training of students,
and engaging in scholarly research and activities. The faculty member will be
expected to teach a range of theoretical and clinical courses each semester.
Because the position is non-tenure track, the faculty member will have a
reduced research expectation in exchange for greater emphasis on teaching and
university/ professional services.
