Position Description: |
The Associate in Research will manage all aspects of the research programs investigating how intellectual humility is related to social, moral, and political judgments. In addition, a small portion of this position entails completing a project on the role of mind-wandering in judging truth. Responsibilities Include: • Managing the behavioral studies conducted by conferring with principal investigators to
review work assignments and develop plans for research experiments and make modifications to existing procedures. • Perform a variety of complex duties involved in conducting behavioral research experiments in order to collect, code, and assemble data sets from experimental results for analyses. • Review and create research protocols, manuals, abstracts and other literature for information applicable to research experiments. • Hire, train, and supervise research assistants as well as recruit participants. • Conduct data analysis, prepare posters and talks for presentations, and write papers for publication. • The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by

Preferred Qualifications: • a bachelor's degree in cognitive psychology or a related discipline • five or more years of research experience • excellent organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to work independently • strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills • experience with Prolific, Lucid, and Amazon’s Mechanical Turk • proficiency with SPSS, SAS, and R • extremely efficient in email correspondence
