Dr. Elizabeth Marsh’s Memory Lab at Duke University (https://www.marshmemorylab.com/) is looking to hire a short term, part-time Associate in Research for summer 2021.

The lab focuses on memory; the Associate in Research will primarily assist with completion of two projects. One aims to understand the function and qualities of memories of fictional events (i.e., from movies, novels); the successful candidate will analyze existing data and write manuscripts for publication. The other project focuses on how people interpret and remember graphical representations. The successful candidate will develop documentation on existing graphical stimuli and experimental code, to allow future projects to build on existing studies. Additional data collection is possible.

The position requires expertise in memory research and proficient computer skills (Excel skills and SPSS/statistical software knowledge are required and Python/R are preferred). The successful candidate will have experience collecting data on MTurk and be able to provide evidence of writing ability. The ideal applicant will have conducted empirical research on the two project topics.

If you are interested, please upload your CV, one writing sample (preferably a peer-reviewed publication), and contact information for two references through Academic Jobs Online.
