The Division of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a Lecturer/Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) who will work in coordination with Cornell Dietetics Program Leader and other dietetics faculty to advance the dietetics program as a whole at Cornell.  This includes development of programs for future models of dietetics education as directed by the Division of Nutritional Sciences.  The position will also teach three classes per year in the undergraduate and graduate dietetics programs. Required Qualifications: 

·         Doctorate in nutrition, sociology, psychology, public health or related field; will consider ABD with degree posted within 12 months of hire if candidate has earned masters degree.

·         Relevant nutrition research experience with documented publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals.

·         Documented experience instructing and mentoring beginning level graduate and post-baccalaureate students in research methods culminating in oral or poster presentation of the research in a scholarly or professional venue.

·         Active RD/RDN status with a minimum of 3 years of active practice as a Registered Dietitian.

·         Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics with evidence of leadership roles in Dietetics.

·         3 years’ experience as a university lecturer or equivalent with evidence of successful teaching.

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
