The Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development invites applications for a full-time Lecturer of Higher Education AdministrationWe seek an individual with substantial professional experience working within higher education institutions and demonstrated ability to contribute to the program’s commitment to preparing the next generation of diverse leaders in higher education. To that end, we are seeking a colleague whose teaching carries a strong social justice orientation, who can enhance our efforts to build equitable and just education environments, and who can expand our partnerships with institutions that serve diverse student populations.

Higher Education Administration faculty teach primarily graduate-level courses both on-campus and online, advise students, and provide service to the college and university. A portion of the workload within this position will be dedicated to administrative responsibilities shared across the program faculty, and toward leading activities to grow the program, including student recruitment and building institutional partnerships.  

 

The Lecturer position begins no later than September 1, 2021. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Applications from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Terminal degree in higher education or related field 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive successful experience working in a leadership position within higher education
  • Experience teaching at the university level, both in-person and online
  • Experience and commitment to data-informed decision-making
  • Deep network from which to recruit potential students and develop institutional partnerships
  • Active engagement in professional development activities and professional associations
