The Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University is seeking an Executive in Residence to teach Masters-level computer engineering classes. The ideal candidate will have commitment, passion, and excellence in teaching. Successful candidates will be expected to:

• Teach 2-3 courses each year in the area of programming and software engineering in the FinTech Masters program.
• Collaborate across department and school boundaries.
• Develop and deliver applications oriented courses related to FinTech.
• Assist with student advisement.
• Contribute to the engineering master programs in other areas as-needed.

Ideal candidates will have deep experience in either an academic or corporate setting. They will also have a PhD, or commensurate industry experience/expertise in a FinTech related discipline such as finance, business, computer science, computer engineering, or another related discipline. Practical buy and sell side financial services work experience is highly desirable. This experience might include; familiarity with trading, portfolio management, mid and/or back office operations, risk management, etc. Teaching/course development experience is strongly preferred. This position is expected to be full time, but other levels of commitment may be considered. This appointment would run from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2023.
