Position Description:

Occupational Summary Conducts research and helps design and implement programs on character, virtue, vocation, and purpose as matters integral to higher education.

Work Performed • Conduct research on matters of character, virtue, vocation, and purpose as matters integral to higher education. • Help coordinate, plan, develop, and implement curricular and co-curricular programs in collaboration with Duke schools and departments. • Work in consultation with the PIs and directors to develop marketing and communications strategies and plans to advance program initiatives. • Develop and facilitate workshops and reading groups for faculty and students.
 • Coordinate program evaluation and work with program evaluators to assess program outcomes. • Collaborate on the development of funding proposals. • Prepare operational reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. • Maintain liaison with internal and external educational and professional organizations to explore new program opportunities, to develop and improve current programs and practices, and to represent the interests and capabilities of The Purpose Project at Duke. • Represent The Purpose Project at Duke in meetings, conferences, and other affairs. • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. • The above statements describe the general nature and level of work. Required Qualifications Education/Training Ph.D. required.

Experience Three years or more years of experience in a related area or field. Management of multiple projects. Experience developing, marketing, implementing, and evaluating curricular and co-curricular programs in higher education.
