Electroconvulsive Therapy Psychiatrist Inpatient and/or Outpatient Services Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of
Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member to provide clinical care and teaching with a focus
on electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Clinical care and teaching may be provided in inpatient
and/or outpatient settings, with the relative balance of work to be mutually agreed upon
depending on interest and need. Inpatient work consists of serving as the Attending for the
Electroconvulsive Therapy Service (the number of weeks of attending coverage to be mutually
agreed upon). Outpatient work consists of providing supervision of trainees (General Psychiatry
residents and Psychiatry Fellows), as well as a limited, and very flexible, amount of direct patient
care. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with trainees and thrives in a
team-based environment. Many opportunities exist for teaching, quality improvement work,
scholarly work, and research collaboration. Physician applicants must have a medical degree or equivalent degree, completed training in
General Psychiatry, be board-certified in General Psychiatry and board-certified or board-eligible
