Title: Postdoctoral opening in researching the quantum-mechanics basis of olfaction mechanisms

Experience Experience with quantum chemistry and molecular dynamics computational approaches that could be used in modeling inelastic electron tunneling in complex (biomolecular) systems is required. Experience in experimental scanning tunneling spectroscopy in also required.

Skills The candidate should be able to formulate computational research questions concerning electron tunneling through small organic molecules and larger protein systems. Skills and interest in conducting experiments at a nanoscale using scanning probe techniques are required. The candidate should be able to complete combined computational and experimental projects up to the level of preparing scientific publications
