University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a post-doctoral research position to work on the ATLAS Experiment.
The successful candidate is expected to make significant contributions to the Run-3 operations and the HL-LHC upgrade of the calorimeter-based trigger systems in firmware algorithm development and simulation. The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in the analysis of Runs 2 and 3 data.
The Pitt ATLAS Group is led by Professors Joe Boudreau, Jim Mueller, and Tae Min Hong. Position Details: This position is housed within the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh. Benefits include health/dental/vision coverage as well as optional access to other university benefits. The start date is negotiable.
Applicants should have a PhD in experimental particle physics by the time of appointment. At a minimum, applicants should have successfully defended their PhD by the start of the appointment and conferral of the PhD will be required by the end of the term in which they are appointed.
