The Huettel lab at Duke University is looking for an Associate in Research. The position is initially for a one-year term with renewal anticipated upon satisfactory performance. This candidate would hold the lab manager title within the Huettel lab. The Associate in Research will be part of a vibrant community of scholars in Duke’s Center for Cognitive Neuroscience.

Duties in this position include the following: • Assist with research projects using behavioral, eye-tracking, fMRI, and TMS methods. • Coordinate data collection from research participants. • Write code for behavioral paradigms and data analyses. • Assist with lab administration, including processes associated with IRB protocols, grant administration, and participant recruitment. • Organize laboratory activities, including the management of wiki documents and web pages.

The position includes opportunities for personal advancement, including collaboration on research projects, presentation of research at conferences, and other activities intended to build research skills. As such, it is ideal for candidates who seek to develop those skills in advance of subsequent training in graduate or medical school.
