We Are

Fermilab is America’s outstanding laboratory for particle physics and accelerator research, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. We support discovery science experiments in Illinois and at locations around the world, including deep underground mines in South Dakota and Canada, mountaintops in Arizona and Chile, and the South Pole!

Fermilab’s Neutrino Division has a strong and exciting research program with major commitments to a diverse range of current and future neutrino experiments including DUNE, NOvA, MicroBooNE, SBN (SBND and ICARUS detectors), and ANNIE. Additional information on the Fermilab neutrino program can be found here: http://neutrinophysics.fnal.gov/

Neutrino Division seeks highly qualified and motivated candidates for Postdoctoral Research Associate positions to conduct their primary research in Neutrino Physics with liquid argon Time Projection Chambers (LAr-TPC), including simulation, data reconstruction and analysis, detector construction and operation and R&D with test-stand and test-beam experiments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate and play an important role in the long-baseline neutrino experiment DUNE and its precursor ProtoDUNE, as well as the Short Baseline Neutrino Program and LAr TPC R&D. Every effort will be made to help and guide a Fermilab Research Associate design his/her research program and maintain support so that she/he has the opportunity to produce physics results and pursue his/her interests.

The position is for a period of up to three (3) years, with the potential for extension considered on a yearly basis thereafter.
