Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University

The Thomas Lord Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Applications are particularly invited from candidates whose research interests fall in the area of experimental and field robotics and autonomous systems. Examples include -- but are not limited to –human-robot systems, legged robotics, soft robotics, distributed robotics, medical robots, mobile robotics in unstructured and dynamic environments, and other allied autonomy disciplines. Applicants for the position must have a demonstrated record of excellence in, and show exceptional promise for, high-quality research, teaching, and professional development.
