Assistant Professor Position Opening
in Biology

The Department of Biology in the School of Arts and Sciences at Brandeis University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning in academic year 2022-2023. This position is subject to budget approval. We seek an individual working in the broad area of Genomics/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology. We welcome a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. Duties include the teaching of graduate and undergraduate courses in the candidate’s specialty, in addition to core survey courses in the Department of Biology. Dissertation advising, thesis advising (graduate and undergraduate), and University and departmental service will also be expected. Candidates must have completed a PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science or a related field and have a proven publication record in the area of computational biology or bioinformatics.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a detailed research plan including research accomplishments and teaching statement. In addition to these materials, the applicant should have three letters of recommendation submitted on their behalf.
