Description

Our goal is to hire an outstanding junior faculty member for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Cognitive & Affective Neuroscience Research Interest Group (RIG). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to capitalize on the resources, patient populations, and cross-disciplinary opportunities associated with Rice's proximity to The Texas Medical Center. Candidates with research interests that complement and bridge those of area faculty (e.g., language, memory, emotion, emotion regulation, neuroplasticity, autonomic psychophysiology, psychoneuroimmunology) are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

The position requires a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, human development, cognitive science). Faculty are expected to develop a productive research program, secure external funding, teach courses that contribute to undergraduate and graduate psychology programs as well as the Cognitive Science and/or Neuroscience interdisciplinary undergraduate majors, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and provide service to the field, the department, and the University.
