The Department of Engineering Education (DEE) at University at Buffalo (UB) invites candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Professor of Teaching (Lecturer), a non-tenure track lecturer position. The DEE was recently formed and will advance modern pedagogical tools and teaching methods including the field of online education. At the undergraduate level, the department offers a variety of SEAS courses including technical communication, engineering computations, statics, and dynamics.

We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty and share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential.

Duties include teaching and development of engineering and applied science courses at both the undergraduate level; instruct academic small groups for freshman engineering students in fundamental math and science courses; formulate and implement student excellence initiatives, ABET objectives and diversity enhancement; assist in the analysis of student academic progress and retention; and contribute to assessment activities.
