|Stony Brook Universityâ€™s Department of Linguistics invites applications for a tenure-track position in computational and/or experimental linguistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2013. Applicants should have an active research program in computational and/or experimental linguistics, as well as the ability to teach courses in this and related areas at the graduate and undergraduate levels (B.A., M.A.-TESOL, Ph.D.). Candidates should also be able to offer a range of other graduate and undergraduate courses in linguistics. The ideal candidate would be expected to (1) maintain an active research program in computational and/or experimental linguistics that addresses concerns in one or more core areas of linguistics, complementing and enhancing the Departmentâ€™s strengths in grammatical theory, and (2) contribute to the ongoing development of the Departmentâ€™s graduate and undergraduate degree programs.
The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in linguistics before September 2013.|
