A Postdoctoral opening will be available for outstanding individuals to work with Prof. Katherine Freese in the areas of theoretical particle astrophysics and cosmology. The research themes include dark matter, inflation, early universe physics, and learning about fundamental properties of the universe using cosmological data including the Cosmic Microwave Background.
The position is for two years beginning September 2022 with a possible extension to a third year depending on successful research of the postdoc as well as continuation of funding. The postdoctoral fellow will have access to research and travel funds, benefits as well as world-leading computing facilities (TACC). The postdoctoral fellow can participate in weekly activities of the Theory Group as well as take advantage of the excellent Astronomy Department. Freese is a member of the Simons Observatory and SPIDER CMB experiments.
