*** this position has been closed and new applications are no longer accepted. ***

The Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology (TPPC) group of the Department of Physics at King’s College London invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral research position as part of a Leverhulme Trust funded project to investigate the foundations of inflationary cosmology. Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following fields of early universe cosmology, gravity, theoretical high energy physics and/or string theory are encouraged to apply.

The position starts in October 2022. The successful applicant will join the research group of Prof Eugene Lim at King’s College London, but will also work closely with Prof Raphael Flauger (UCSD) and Dr Katy Clough (QMUL). Furthermore, the successful applicant will also be encouraged to interact with and participate in the research of the rest of the TPPC group at KCL, which consists of 11 faculty members and 6 postdocs, with interests ranging from particle physics, astroparticle physics, cosmology, gravity and gravitational wave physics.

Please see (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/research/theoretical-particle-physics-cosmology) for more information regarding the group.

Applicants should submit a CV with publication list, a two page statement of research and 3 letters of recommendation through the AJO portal. We will begin considering applications from Dec 22 2021 until the position is filled.

We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups in theoretical physics.

For more information regarding this position, please contact Eugene Lim (eugene.lim@kcl.ac.uk).
