The Nicholas School of the Environment (NSOE) at Duke University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Business & Environment to start July 1, 2022. This is a two-year non-regular rank term position. Applicants should have a DBA or a PhD in a business-relevant field with a focus on corporate social responsibility, supply chain management, strategy, systems analysis, operations, management, or marketing. Professional work experience, including a track record of increasing responsibility in the private sector, is highly desirable. Responsibilities include: 1) teaching up to 3 courses in NSOE’s two-year professional Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) degree program; 2) advising students in the Business & Environment program, which is a concentration under the MEM degree program; and 3) advising client-focused Master’s Projects for students in the Business & Environment program. Specific courses will include an introductory course on finance, operations, or another core business and environment topic and two additional courses that cover more advanced topics, such as carbon accounting, sustainable business strategy, life cycle analysis, sustainable systems analysis, or environmental and social governance.
