The Black Think Tank (BTT) is hiring a staff assistance to support our programmatic activities. The main goal of the BTT is to support and develop the community of Black faculty at Duke University (www.blackthinktank.duke.edu).
The ideal candidate will be a responsible, self-motivated professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks. They should possess excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (both oral and written). A interpersonal skills are also highly valued as the staff assistant will engage with faculty and administrators across the institution. The ideal candidate will have familiarity and experience with matters related to race, diversity and inclusion in higher education.
Activities involve the maintenance and update of the BTT website, development of the BTT newsletter, production of reports, organization of events, and coordination of communication and social media.
This remunerated part-time position will be offered by hourly contract and the candidate will be subject to an eight-week evaluation period. The candidate could be re-appointed if funding is renewed.
