A Part-Time Associate in Research position is open in the Nightingale Lab in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, Pratt School of Engineering.

This position requires experience with programming diagnostic ultrasound imaging systems, computer programming and numerical modeling, and prior laboratory and device design experience, ideally with some prior experience in supporting clinical studies. The position will entail supporting all aspects of the research being performed in the Nightingale lab.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and testing a rotation position control and custom beam sequences for a muscle shearwave elasticity imaging (SWEI)

2. Obtaining in vivo ultrasound data from subjects undergoing muscle imaging studies

3. Assisting with processing and analysis of the muscle SWEI data

4. Performing acoustic output measurements

5. Providing general assistance and input into other ongoing studies in the Nightingale lab
