Postdoc in quantum control, quantum annealing, and quantum computing

Your Role...

We are seeking a highly-talented, motivated and ambitious theoretical physicist to work at the interplay of quantum control, quantum annealing, and quantum computing. The position is renewable on a yearly basis (for a maximum of 3 years) and can start as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will work at the Department of Physics and Material Science (DPhyMS) of the University of Luxembourg, in the Quantum Science and Technology Group led by Prof. Adolfo del Campo and the Quantum Control and Dynamics group led by Prof. Aurelia Chenu.
The project is in the frame of Quantera and involves partners at University of Innsbruck, Walther- Meißner-Institut, University of Napoli “Federico II”, the National Research Council of Italy, and Jagiellonian University.

What we expect from you…
The applicant should have a background in theoretical physics, mathematics, computer science or a related field. Specific research topics include quantum control and shortcuts to adiabaticity, quantum annealing, quantum algorithms, random-matrix theory, many-body open quantum systems. Proven expertise in analytical and numerical methods in these topics, as well as cloud quantum computing & simulation experience will be valued.
