Faculty Openings in Statistics
The School of Data Science (SDS) at
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) is now inviting qualified candidates to fill multiple
tenured, tenure-track, or teaching-track faculty positions at all academic
ranks in the area of Statistics. The discipline of Statistics (including
Biostatistics) is of particular importance in the strategic development of the School
of Data Science. Along with strong
research on methodological foundations, the statistics group aims at interdisciplinary research, in collaboration
within the school in areas such as machine learning, optimization, operation
research, and computer science, and outside the school with Shenzhen Research
Institute of Big Data, National Institute of Health and Medical Big Data, and
the new Faculty of Medicine of CUHK(SZ). For
tenured or tenure-track positions, we seek applicants
with outstanding research records or potential in cutting-edge areas of statistics. Applicants should hold or expect to obtain a
Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a relevant
field. Junior applicants must demonstrate a clear and high potential to enhance
research and educational missions of the School. Senior applicants are expected
to demonstrate a well-established record of research and teaching
accomplishments, scientific creativity and leadership.
For all positions, the
ability to teach effectively in English to
diverse groups of students is required.

The School of Data Science (SDS) of
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen is established in July 2020.
Located in Shenzhen, the innovation
hub of China, the SDS focuses on first-class teaching and academic research in
