The BIOS laboratory at Duke University is seeking a short term (visiting) research scientist to work on projects related to quantitative phase imaging to investigate carcinogenesis processes. Candidate should have a PhD in biomedical engineering or related disciplines with experience in creating and maintaining cellular models of carcinogenesis, conducting assays of cellular phenotypes, and imaging cell samples using novel microscopy systems. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing phase imaging studies of cells, preparing cell models for study, and acquiring and analyzing microscopy data sets. Programming skills should include MATLAB, R, Python and/or C++.
