DIRECTOR OF METABOLOMICS FACILITY PROGRAM IN MOLECULAR MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS CHAN MEDICAL SCHOOL
The Program in Molecular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is seeking an outstanding individual for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level.
The new faculty member will serve as Director of the Metabolomics Facility. The responsibilities include: 1) maintenance and operation of high-resolution mass spectrometers for small molecule profiling using both targeted and untargeted methodologies; and 2) design of new workflows for optimized extraction techniques, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and data analysis. Required experience includes: 1) analysis of both polar and non-polar molecules; and 2) flux and stable isotope tracing techniques. Preferred experience includes: 1) Thermo QExactive plus Orbitrap mass spectrometer studies; 2) data analysis using Xcalibur, TraceFinder, Compound Discoverer, and El Maven; and 3) research group leader service. Candidates must have a PhD or MD degree (or equivalent degree) and at least 8 years of research experience in the area of metabolism.
