Position Description

The Laboratory of Structure and Symmetry of the Universe (LSSU), Department of Physics, Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) invites applications for a postdoc position in particle physics cosmology with priorities in BSM theories for early universe cosmology covering inflation, baryogenesis, dark matter, dark energy, primordial black hole, gravitational wave, etc.

Applicants should hold a PhD degree in theoretical physics (particle physics, cosmology) at the beginning of the contract. The initial appointment will be for one year, and can be extended for an additional year subject to performance and funding situation. The earliest possible starting date is September 1st, 2022.

LSSU based at JBNU is a new basic research laboratory, recently funded by the national research foundation of Korea, aiming for active collaborations among the four faculties: Prof. Seong Youl Choi (JBNU, BSM phenomenology), Prof. Seodong Shin (JBNU, dark matter and BSM phenomenology), Prof. Wan-Il Park (JBNU, particle cosmology), and Prof. Chang Sub Shin (Chungnam National University, BSM phenomenology and cosmology).
