The Linke Lab at the Duke Quantum Center is seeking a post-doctoral researcher for the topics of quantum networking and quantum computing with trapped ions.

The candidate responsibilities include designing, constructing, and maintaining scientific apparatus to explore quantum networking with trapped ions, conducting experiments, and recording and analyzing data. Further, the position involves performing and assisting with theoretical calculations and numerical simulations, preparing and assisting with the preparation and submission of manuscripts for publication, meeting and communicating regularly with the PI and other scientists in the DQC.

The candidate requires to stay up to date with the academic literature on relevant topics, manage and reply to research-related correspondence, and advise undergraduate and graduate students working on research projects. As part of engagement with the wider scientific community, the post-doctoral researcher is expected to attend and present at project meetings, conferences, and workshops.
