Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications from highly motivated anatomic pathologists for a tenure track position in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will join 7 other pathologists who share necropsy and biopsy duty, train pathology residents, provide didactic instruction in the professional curriculum and conduct research in their area of expertise. Faculty with clinical appointments are expected to develop and maintain an investigator-driven discovery research program supplemented with clinical research, which may include case reports, retrospective case studies, mentoring of resident conducted research or collaborative research. Cornell is a world renowned research university and the College of Veterinary Medicine is the main location of biomedical research on the Ithaca Campus. Research strengths include mammalian genomics, cancer biology, infectious disease, reproductive biology, basic and applied stem cell research, comparative and medical genomics, reproductive sciences, immunology, signal transduction, vaccine development, and structural biology. Qualifications for this position include the DVM degree or equivalent and board certification or eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists or the equivalent. Salary and rank will be very competitive and commensurate with experience.
