Attending Psychiatrist/ Hospitalist/ Nocturnist
The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) seeks a full-time (40 hours per week) board-certified/board-eligible hospitalist/ nocturnist to serve at The Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital in Worcester, MA. Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) cares for 295 adults and 30 adolescents with serious mental health conditions in our continuing care and acute forensic units. We are looking for psychiatrists, internists, family medicine physicians, critical care providers who will provide care overnight, some holidays and weekends. There are opportunities for research and teaching.
UMass Chan Medical School is the only academic medical school in central Massachusetts and a destination site for excellent clinical care. The Department promotes academic, research and leadership opportunities through CME programs and the Center for Research and Development Office. It is a national leader in public sector psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, biological psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, women’s mental health, and addiction psychiatry.
Successful candidates will receive a faculty appointment that includes Departmental support for clinical, training and research. The benefit package is a generous state plan with holiday and paid time off totaling to more than 7 weeks. There is the option for additional voluntary night, weekend, and holiday coverage with highly competitive reimbursement.
