Project Manager needed to oversee the operations of a robust Department of Computer Sciences research lab.
This position will, with senior research faculty, establish and oversee a new multi-institution National Science Foundation funded Center on the Security of Machine Learning. The project manager will contribute to the strategic direction of the Center while performing day-to-day management of the center including planning and designing research, managing the budget, education, communication, and events. They will be critical in the project management, financial planning, problem-resolution, research and reporting while collaborating with leaders in academia and governance.
This individual will oversee the 6-year NSF SaTC: CORE: Frontier: Collaborative: End-to-end Trustworthiness of Machine-Learning Systems grant that currently consists of 7 Universities and input from government. This frontier project will establish the Center for Trustworthy Machine Learning (CTML), a large-scale, multi- institution, multi-disciplinary effort whose goal is to develop a rigorous understanding of the vulnerabilities inherent to machine learning, and to develop the tools, metrics, and methods to mitigate them. Outreach activities include a joint summer school, engaging in activities for high school students, a sequence of webinars geared towards public policy makers, and more. |
