Position Description: |
The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan), Department of
Psychiatry, Implementation Science and Practice Advances Research Center (iSPARC) seeks
a part-time mental health and associated services Researcher focused on youth and young
adults to lead a research program on career development. The candidate should qualify for
a non-tenure track position at the Assistant, Associate or Full professor level.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of federal research grant funding and peer-review publications focused on postsecondary education or training and employment in
youth and young adults with psychiatric disabilities. The candidate would build upon the
institution’s strong research programs in transition-age youth and young adults within its
Implementation Science and Practice Advances Research Center. Successful candidates will
demonstrate a commitment to education and scholarship and promise in the ability to
obtain extramural funding.
UMass Chan School of Medical School is the only academic medical school in central
Massachusetts and a destination site for excellent clinical care. The Department promotes
academic, research and leadership opportunities through CME programs and the Center for
Research and Development Office. It is a national leader in public sector psychiatry, child
and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, biological psychiatry,
neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, women’s mental health,
and addiction psychiatry.
