FACULTY POSITION Condensed Matter/Materials Theory Department of Physics University of Houston

The Department of Physics at the University of Houston seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant professorship with a theorist specializing in condensed matter/materials physics, pending the approval by the University of Houston Board of Regents. Exceptional candidates from all areas of condensed matter theory are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a strong record of scholarship and be able to establish and sustain a robust, externally funded research program. Preference will be given to those with postdoctoral experience. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to and potential for excellence in teaching a wide range of physics courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as in mentoring students in research. Effective communication skills are required.
