Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Theoretical Particle Physics – String theory and quantum gravity.
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 2 years, with the possibility of extension for 1 further year depending on funding.
This project will be to carry out research in string theory and quantum gravity. Group members in this area include Prateek Agrawal, Joseph Conlon, Andre Lukas, and John March-Russell, and there are also close links with the Mathematical Physics Group at the Mathematical Institute.
The successful candidate will carry out research in string theory and quantum gravity.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to teach.
Applicants should hold a PhD, or be close to completion in theoretical physics or a related field and have a strong background in string theory and quantum gravity. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a capacity for independent research work and should have a publication record commensurate with career stage.
Please direct enquiries about the role to Prof. Andre Lukas. (andre.lukas@physics.ox.ac.uk)
Only applications received before midday (UK time) on 30 November 2022 can be considered. You will be required to upload a statement of research interests, CV and details of two referees as part of your online application.
