Visiting Faculty, Biological Anthropology

 

The Macalester College Department of Anthropology invites applications for a one-year non-tenure-track visiting position to begin Fall 2023. This position will be renewable for a second year, pending review of teaching. We seek a specialist in biological anthropology. Area of specialization is open. Candidates should be able to teach introductory courses (biological anthropology, four-field general anthropology); an ability to teach courses in Human Evolution and Osteology is desirable.  ABD candidates will be considered; however, they must have their degree in hand prior to August 2023. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of U.S. citizenship or unconditional permanent residency status at the time of hire. The teaching load is five courses per year. Salary and benefits are competitive.
