Position Description:    

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of South Alabama invites applications for two full-time Postdoctoral Research Associates to support research on IC design, embedded systems, and AI hardware.

The positions are immediately available. Each position consists of a one-year appointment with the possibility of reappointment based on performance and funding availability.

Job Description
75% - Research
• Conduct research, analyze and interpret data associated with conducted research
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students with their research.

• Prepare manuscripts for submission to top-tier journals and present seminars to scientific community
20% - Reporting and Dissemination of Research
• Prepare and present updates on ongoing research to the research team and sponsors.
• Provide written reports on research progress.
• Prepare manuscripts for submission to top-tier journals.
5% - Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• A PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with IC Design EDA/CAD tool is required. 
• The successful candidate should bring experience, enthusiasm and dedication to the 
group.
• It is expected that successful candidate will have a proven record of publications in top-tier computer engineering research conferences, and have expertise in one or more of the above areas of interest.
• It is desirable if the applicant has experience with full tape-out experience of ASICs.
Highly qualified candidates with any of the following experience are particularly encouraged to apply: IC design, embedded system, AI hardware.
