Position Description: |
The research group of Prof. Bihui Zhu at the Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Center for Quantum Research and Technology at University of Oklahoma, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position. The successful candidate will conduct theoretical research at the interface of AMO physics, quantum information science and condensed matter physics, with a focus on nonequilibrium quantum many-body phenomena and quantum computing with neutral atoms. Topics of interest include but are not limited to, quantum dynamics in new regimes relevant to current AMO platforms, new approaches for simulating complex quantum systems, and their applications in quantum technologies, including quantum simulation and sensing. A Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field is required. Candidates with a strong background in quantum many-body theory or familiar with computational methods are especially encouraged to apply. The expected start date is no later than September 2023. Compensation for the position is competitive and travel support is available. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Prof. Zhu directly (email: bihui.zhu@ou.edu) and provide the following: a cover letter with a brief description of research interest, CV with a list of publications, and three letters of recommendation. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the anticipated position is filled. |
