Applicants should have teaching and research interests in one or more of the following areas: sound studies and theory, sound design and production, experimental media art, Asian American independent media, video production, animation, and game design; Indigenous, Middle East, South Asia, as well as their respective transnational media cultures, networks, and/or diasporas. We are particularly interested in candidates who combine media theory and history with practice; is engaged in media activism and forms of community-engagement in their work; and can perform global and location comparative analysis of media. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or MFA by the time of appointment, and college-level teaching experience.
